  1. Beginner

5 DAY STARTER COURSE

This is a short, sharp ‘Get up and go course’ designed to cover the basics of the interface, modelling, texturing, lighting and basic animation

2. Advanced

10 DAY ADVANCED COURSE

This course will take a beginner to an advanced level. We deal with advanced model building, cloth and physics and advanced hierarchical animation. An ideal starting course for those with more time

This is a 90 degree section of a 360 degree panoramic movie. It was made using10 Maya cameras each with a 36 degree field of view.

3. Master

20 DAY COURSE FEATURING CHARACTER DESIGN AND CREATION

The course covers the basics of Beginner and Advanced but goes deeper into character rigging and the use of deformers for facial expression. The student will learn the dynamics systems including cloth, Bifrost and the creation of complex, well textured and lit environments

4. Academy

40 DAY IN DEPTH COURSE WHOSE OBJECTIVE IS TO PRODUCE A PROFESSIONAL SHOWREEL ANIMATION

This is the most in-depth course we run. aim is to make the student a fully-fledged professional. In this course we will follow the examples in Richard William’s ‘The Animator’s Survival Kit’ for character animation. For object animation we will go deep into hierarchical structures, motion paths and animating effects and deformers. For rendering we will look at the differences between Pixar’s RenderMan and Maya’s integrated Arnold engine. The objective of this course is to produce a professional showered animation that demonstrates complete familiarity with all essential Maya functions.

There are 4 separate Maya courses. Each progressively more demanding. They range from 5 day Beginner to 40 day Academy

Courses run from Monday to Friday (10 to 5 with a one hour break for lunch) with week-ends free. During the week-end students may continue to use the studio if they wish. Meals and accommodation will of course be provided.

PRICES

The 5 day Beginner course costs £800. The 10 day Advanced course is £1500. The Master course is £2800 and the Academy £4800. All courses include meals and accommodation (even over week-ends) as well as transportation to and from Perugia International Airport or Camucia/Cortona railway station.
