At 3D3 World we'll be running a 5 day introductory course starting 5th July 2010. A 10 day advanced is planned for September. Please contact us for more information. The MODO BASICS course is a 5 day fast-track introduction to Modo. It covers all the essential base level topics needed to get started in 3D animation with Modo. This course is one-to-one with one tutor assigned to one student. The 5 day MODO BASICS is structured as follows: Day 1. Essential mesh creation, the various components of geometry, a look at the complete tool-set and the construction of custom tools. Day 2. Advanced mesh creation, re-modelling existing geometry, organic versus mechanical. Day 3. Deformers. Typically those used for shape creation and animation. Giving character and life to a model using deformers Day 4. Lighting and texturing. Essential training for creating and positioning textures to models, lighting and shadows, camera animation Day 5. Animating models and setting keyframes. The idea is to come away with a simple animation, textured and lit and output to the QuickTime or AVI formats Please be aware that there will be some inevitable timetable cross-over in the subjects taught over the 5 day period. Some topics may be covered earlier than scheduled and some later. Training starts at 10 in the morning and finishes at 6 in the evening. There is a one hour break for lunch |
